Back in 2016, phase | was completed with a total modernisation of our facility, adding state-of-the-art features such as 24/7 access with personalised PIN codes for our customers, ESCORTA lifts by Lodige for seamless journeys between the carpark and storage units, an entire fit out by Kuboid and modern CCTV cameras and upgraded security alarms from Concept.

Our project planning kicked off in the summer of 2017 with initial refurbishment and renovation beginning in November 2017 which started with the clearing out of the entire container storage facility. 

Phase || will mean even more sophisticated security as well as an entire refurb for our business customers who will see the entire ground floor of the Masons facility dedicated to their needs with our brand new state-of-the-art, Business Lounge! We wanted to introduce a whole new concept of ‘Work, Rest & Store’ in the Vale, which is aimed at the increasing number of Business Customers who are looking for more flexibility when juggling the demands of their businesses. Our business customers can expect larger corridors to accommodated larger deliveries such as palleted stock or tradesman storing rolls of carpet and tools. In addition, there will be a flexible working space for our business customers to take advantage of! Business customers will be able to connect to our free high-speed WiFi, utilise charging stations and also enjoy a range of refreshments from a tea and coffee station to a vending machine for snacks on the go. For business customers receiving deliveries in their absence, there will be a dedicated stock holding area where they can also utilise collection and deliver supporting within our usual office hours.

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and are what keep us striving forwards through four generations of Masons! From our humble beginnings as a horse-and-cart removals company, we’ve continued to strive forwards and find new and innovative approaches to bring our customers everything they need. Which is why we’re delighted that with the completion of our Phase II fit out project it will bring the total investment in the Masons Self Storage site to £1.2 million! We’re delighted that we can bring our customer’s the modern and upgraded facility that they deserve!

We chose to undertake the expansion project at Masons Self Storage as a response to customer demand, we have been at 100% capacity for 3 months and often have at least 90% of our storage units full. This expansion project will mean that we will now have an additional 215 units, in a greater range of sizes than before, now starting from 20sqft up to 300sqft. This greater range of sizes are excellent for domestic customers who are utilising us for house moves and DIY projects, however, it will also hugely benefit business customers who need extra space to store stock or tools. The expansion project allows us to attract new customers whilst simultaneously providing unrivalled services to our existing customers.

Our Mobile Self Storage customers will also benefit from the expansion project, with 10% of our facility will be dedicated to our mobile services in their own warehouse which will house the vaults. Our mobile self storage is an unrivalled service, with three options to choose from it allows you the flexibility of self storage without the hassle of hiring or driving a van.

In addition, now onsite is a showroom for Twenty12 Flooring, who offer a fantastic range of flooring options from carpet to solid wood flooring at excellent value!
