“We have added 100 self-storage units for rent to our ever-growing Barry storage facility. These new units range from 25 sq ft to 300 sq ft within the expansion area. We have also added further parking facilities within a new yard area located at the front of the building. This will help support our growth and enhance the customer experience, providing convenient access for our current customers and accommodating the increased flow of new customers.”

Following the business expansion, Masons Self Storage now offers a total of 600 storage units, including both self-storage units and container storage. The new expansion adds even more flexibility to Mason’s existing offering, which already includes units up to 1,000 sq ft.

“We have been extremely encouraged by the self-storage market and the need for additional self-storage in the Barry area,” says James. “We felt it was important to be able to provide additional storage facilities to the people of Barry and the local area. There’s still a strong demand for self-storage, and we wanted to meet that need.”
The project also included roof and gutter repairs as part of Masons’ ongoing maintenance plan.

“We have been discussing expanding the self-storage side of the business for a couple of years now, and with us hitting full occupancy for the last few years, we thought now would be the perfect time to utilise the last bit of warehouse space we have left,” explains James.

“But we’ve always stuck together, and we’ve always wanted to provide the community with a service that helps them solve a problem. We’ve been lucky to have worked with great members of staff and suppliers over the years to be able to accomplish what we have!”
